Only have a comment about the train: you only need to buy tickets in advance for international trains in order to save money. Within the country, you can buy tickets at the last minute, the prices stay the same. One extra tip: leave for a weekend trip on Friday after 9 and you’ll be able to by a weekendticket, a return ticket that’s half the price, which let’s you return on Saturday or Sunday instead of the same day. Have fun travelling in Belgium!

Hey Anke! Thank you for the note! Added a little snippet about the Weekend Ticket to the post 🙂

I‘ve been living in Belgium for 4 years now and never bought a train ticket in advance. On busy commuting trains you might need to stand, but I have never heard that you need to get a first class ticket.

Easiest option are the Go-Passes, 10 rides for each 5.30 or 8.80 (if you are above 26) for any destination you fancy. They can also be shared! Or for the weekend there is the weekend ticket, valid from Friday evening to Sunday night, where the return journey is for free.
FlixBus is the cheapest way for international travels.

For every trip, travel guide and pretty photo you see, there’s a whole lot happening behind the scenes.

I’m constantly writing, researching, planning what’s next, running multiple businesses… and currently using AI to help build an entirely new website.

My AMD Ryzen AI-powered laptop has become the command center for all of it. I can have approximately 47 things happening at once (a conservative estimate), and it keeps up with the chaos.

Because ultimately, the goal is to spend a little less time behind the screen and a lot more time out experiencing the world. ✈️

Turns out you can fit a lot of life into one year. 🤍

Moving abroad with a four-year-old while running multiple businesses from the road has been equal parts incredible, chaotic, exhausting and unforgettable.

For the past six months, my AMD Ryzen AI-powered laptop has come along for all of it… from Cape Town to Europe and everywhere in between.

It’s lightweight enough to travel with me, powerful enough to keep up with my million open tabs, and the battery life has genuinely exceeded my expectations.

There are definitely easier ways to live 😂 But I wouldn’t trade this adventure for anything.

Here’s to building a life that makes sense to you!

No trending audio could ever compete with this.

Just me and my little guy wandering around Lake Trübsee, surrounded by the happiest cows making their little mountain music.

Sound on for this one! 🤍
