Ah Cambodia, my favourite country. Amazing temples, buzzing markets and the people always have a warm smile.

Kiersten, if you ever get back to Cambodia, be sure to visit Beng Mealea, it is a temple with a feel all it’s own, as it’s so isolated from the main Angkor complex. Parts are covered in green moss, combine that with the crystal green water pools scattered throughout, and it makes the temples seem alive. There are also wooden walkways, so you can get a position over looking some of the structures, to take good photos and videos, and also of course, parts where you can climb on your own.

Hey Steve! I actually did get to visit Bang Mealea! So incredible with the trees and and roots growing up the temple ruins. Hopefully I’ll make it back to Cambodia someday. It’s also one of my favorite countries!

Cool Kiersten that you actually did see Beng Mealea.

Climbing up and down temple steps all day sure take a toll on the legs, especially in that heat, but my thought was Í may never get back here, so get to climbing’. Well worth the effort.

Did you make it out to one of the floating villages while in Cambodia? A boat tour through a village, seeing such a vastly different way of life to what I know in Australia, those memories will stay with me for many, many years.

Didn’t get a chance to visit the floating markets, no. But they definitely look beautiful!
