Hi, that’s a very useful post you wrote! When did you travelled there? I’m planning a solo trip and you know, family’s trying to make me renounce because it might be dangerous. I already visited Istanbul with a male friend in 2014 and didn’t feel unsafe at all, even going around alone during day time. I’m in that special moment when feeling in doubt before buying the ticket, any piece of advise might help. Thanks for the infos you already wrote here!

    • Hey babe! I haven’t been in a good few years, but I never felt unsafe when I was in the city. As long as you’re aware of your surroundings and stay alert like you would anywhere else, you should be able to avoid any problems.

Same! I’m 26, and I still have to ask permission for my first solo travel (which I’d like to experience in Istanbul!) from my parents! Driving me crazy but still looking forward to this trip!

Thank you for this helpful post, Kiersten! Keep travelling and writing! 🙂

Hi! Which air bnb did you stay in when you stayed in Istanbul.

    • The Blonde Abroad

Hi Shubra! I don’t recall and I’m not sure if it’s even still available, but I’m sure you can find some really cool places!

For every trip, travel guide and pretty photo you see, there’s a whole lot happening behind the scenes.

I’m constantly writing, researching, planning what’s next, running multiple businesses… and currently using AI to help build an entirely new website.

My AMD Ryzen AI-powered laptop has become the command center for all of it. I can have approximately 47 things happening at once (a conservative estimate), and it keeps up with the chaos.

Because ultimately, the goal is to spend a little less time behind the screen and a lot more time out experiencing the world. ✈️

Turns out you can fit a lot of life into one year. 🤍

Moving abroad with a four-year-old while running multiple businesses from the road has been equal parts incredible, chaotic, exhausting and unforgettable.

For the past six months, my AMD Ryzen AI-powered laptop has come along for all of it… from Cape Town to Europe and everywhere in between.

It’s lightweight enough to travel with me, powerful enough to keep up with my million open tabs, and the battery life has genuinely exceeded my expectations.

There are definitely easier ways to live 😂 But I wouldn’t trade this adventure for anything.

Here’s to building a life that makes sense to you!

No trending audio could ever compete with this.

Just me and my little guy wandering around Lake Trübsee, surrounded by the happiest cows making their little mountain music.

Sound on for this one! 🤍
