  1. You go on some pretty amazing adventures. I have never heard put your hands on your head while you dive. My dive instructor always say fold your arms over your chest. Never let them off your chest. He said it wastes energy, which waste your air, and also was a way to keep them cold. I love learning tips from over dive people all over the world. I love reading about all of your adventures.

    • We were snorkeling so we weren’t actually diving down. The current at the fissure slowly floats you down its path, so you don’t need to even kick. You don’t have to use any energy really if you don’t want to. That’s why they suggest keeping you hands on your head (while snorkeling so that they’re above the water). It’s simply to keep them from getting super cold 🙂

  2. I love that you give detailed explanations of your adventures. When I was in Iceland in January I really wanted to do the diving however the weather conditions were too poor for it (and the northern lights). Ever since Iceland is still brimming in my mind. Its so beautiful and I feel like it’s the perfect place to reconnect with nature.
    Great post!

    • Happy to share as much as I can! The weather in Iceland is so tough to predict. I didn’t get to see the Northern Lights either, but I still had an incredible trip. We gotta leave something to go back for after all, right?
