  1. I have to admit, when I first moved to Thailand I was VERY intimidated by street food. I’d venture out, stumble up to a cart that appeared to serve a dish I knew and then get laughed at because my Thai was pretty horrible. Eventually I just started eating random things and got used to the spiciness and not always knowing what I was eating. My favorite street food is probably Khao Man Gai. It was a great go-to dish served on the street by my school. 🙂 Oh, and it took a few weeks to get used to eating with a spoon!

    • I can totally relate! Sometimes you just gotta take a chance and hope for the best 😉

I did have a few noodle dishes I loved in Thailand but overall my food experience was poor compared to other places in the world. When I go back to Thailand I want to have a local guide just like you did, to show me the best places to eat and what to eat.

    • Oh no! That’s a shame to hear. Thai is my absolute favorite so I hope you get an opportunity to return and give it a second chance.
