Are there ferries that leave back to ko samui throughout the night of the party? I was going to get a place Friday-Sunday in ko samui if so. I wasn’t sure if I should just stay in ko phangan the entire weekend.

Hi Carly! I’m not positive if there are ferries or not during the night, but I would err on the side of caution and say don’t. This article reports that they stop running at 7:00pm (http://www.kosamui.com/transfer/boat-transfer.htm)

HOWEVER, it does say that speedboats operate throughout the night (at a higher cost). The speedboats aren’t regulated though and oftentimes are packed without any safety precautions…so take that into account.

Hi! Just wanted to provide some feedback based on my experience 🙂 we visited Koh Samui this past Dec/Jan, with a one night stay on Koh Phangan for New Year’s Eve. We decided to keep our hotel room on Koh Samui that night (even though we stayed on KP) so we could leave most of our luggage and only take what we needed for the night to KP. We took a ferry to KP around 1pm on NYE, and returned the next morning on the 10am ferry. I believe the last ferry from KS to KP is in the late afternoon, and the earliest going back to KS is at 8am. There are speedboats running throughout the night but I haven’t heard great things – it’s very dark, it can be somewhat unsafe, and it can be cold/wet. I also know they cannot always run if the seas are rough (they were running while we were there). So there are definitely speedboats back to KS throughout the party but no ferries. For the one night we were there, we got a cheap Airbnb in Ban Tai. Most places will have at least 3 night minimums during the party, but you can always check Airbnb to see if you can find something for just a night!

The Seatran and Lomprayah ferries have websites with ferry tables, and there is also the Haad Rin Queen which I don’t believe has a website. We took Seatran and it was very smooth.

      Hope this helps!

Elizabeth, this is AMAZING. Thank you!

  2. Hi, thank you for this.

How do you get to the Koh Pangan Island from Phuket and where to stay on the Island, especially near the beach for Full Moon Party?

    Appreciate this.. 🙂

Hi Ali! I took the ferry from Koh Samui to Koh Pangan—a lot of people do this. 🙂

Accommodation typically books up solid on the island the week before and after the Full Moon Party…no surprise there! Book in advance to make sure you have somewhere to stay. Or, do what I did, and leave your bags at a friend’s hotel and stay out all night.

I would personally recommend finding accommodation on another island, catching a ferry to Koh Pangan, partying all night, and catching a ferry back the next day. Hope that helps!

These might just be the best travel bags ever ✨

Ollie and I recently traveled to Washington and brought the @noreceptionclub travel bags along. And I have to say, these bags have completely changed how I pack with a toddler. Traveling with a little one means not only making sure you have every snack, every toy, and every detail covered — but also making sure you have it all within reach. And if it can look good too? All the better.

We brought with us:

• The Getaway Bag, which works as a diaper bag when your kids are extra little (and as a family travel backpack for bigger kids), includes customizable compartments, an insulated lunch bag and even stroller clips!
• The Hideaway Carry-On Duffel with a cubby system and dividers that you can pull out and hang in hotel closets for optimal convenience. It even has backpack straps and a luggage pass-through for other carrying options!
• The Sidekick V2 has its own compartment in the Getaway Bag and is great for small day trips and hands-free storage. The mesh pockets hold smaller items while the magnetic flap in the back makes it easy to grab baby wipes fast!
• The Dopp Kit, made with parents in mind, keeps personal care essentials organized and accessible.
•The Sliders Complete Set with clear windows and smart compartments making it easy to see and grab everything you need!

Pack smarter for family adventures and get your hands on the @noreceptionclub bag that speaks to you! Use BLONDEABROAD20 for $20 off purchases of $150 or more

The Cotswolds are a region in the UK compromising of over 100 villages and 300 towns! There’s so much to be discovered here, but these are the 7 villages you have to visit if you’re planning a trip to The Cotswolds this fall and beyond:

•Castle Combe
•Bourton-on-the-Water
•The Slaughters
•Stowe-on-the-Wold
•Broadway
